A Spaghetti Western Fairytale

Once upon a time, in the West, a miner made his way to Fort St John where he settled in for "the quiet life".

He hadn't figured on meetin up with an outlaw dance hall girl who would quickly steal his heart. The quiet homesteader found himself suddenly being pulled into the life of a desperado- fighting banditos, cattle barons, bushwackers, and less than honorable cavalrymen.

When the smoke settled, Garth discovered he'd struck gold as the leader of the Fenton gang, which now consisted of: Garth the Rogue Welder- himself, Klondike Christy, the Twinkled Toed Tulip, the Ornery Buckaroo, the Moon Eyed Rose, and Ma Fenton.

He decided he ought to be makin an honest woman of that dance hall girl, and so, he figured they best be gettin hitched.

They all lived happily up to and ever after the 4th of July 2009.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Fort St John have an airport?
Yes. We do. There is car rental and taxi service available from the airport, as well.

Where is everyone staying?
Rooms are blocked at the Stonebridge (see where to say), but we would love for everyone to camp out at the fairgrounds.

I'm bringing an RV. Are there hookups at the fairgrounds?
No. Sorry. There are some nice camp spots and clean, but nonpottable well water is available.

I'd really like to camp, but I don't have a trailer.
There is trailer rental available in Fort St John (250) 785-6829. It is a long weekened however, so be sure to call right away.

Are children welcome?
In case you missed it, YES. We love kids.

I noticed you said you are providing wine and beer. I like rum. Can I bring my own?
Sure. We will have a small selection of beer and wine, but if you would like to drink something else, you are welcome to bring your own.

How far is the reception from the ceremony site?
The Fairgrounds are about 20 min out o town. The ceremony site is about half an hour from town. However, it is best to try and arrive at the ceremony site as early as possible, as the road in is narrow and could easily become congested. Carpooling is encouraged.

What should I wear?
The dress is Western casual. That means jeans, or whatever you're comfortable wearing.

What should I bring?
A hat, sunblock, bug spray, warmer clothes for the evening, water, and a salad, side or veggie tray. We will provide water at both sites, but it is always a good idea to bring your own.

Are you saying you don't want gifts?
We have so much stuff already, and your coming is a gift. However, we would really love if you could volunteer a little time to help our day go off without a hitch.
